be added as time allows Shipping R/C components and kits
is tricky, shipping charges are calculated on a combination of weight
and size and available carrier due to size limitations. There is
no way that we can automate a shipping tabulation routine and
therefore, we cannot give you exact shipping charges over the web
site.
As shipping charges from Hong Kong is by no means cheap, here are a
few tips for you to maximize usage on the charges:
Try not to ship an engine and a set of blades, they make very bad
shipping partners because of the odd size. Same case for a
canopy and a set of blades. They will wind up in a huge box full
of stuffing material.
Try to avoid Federal Express for big packages like helicopter kits,
they are charged an equivalent weight like 25~30Kg. because of size
and cost an arm and a leg. Federal Express is most effective for
packages under 1Kg that can be put inside one of their soft plastic
bag. But then again, this is the fastest and MOST RELIABLE
shipping method.
Air parcel only has maximum size limitation so is a relatively
cheaper way to ship but costs is only marginally cheaper that Speed
post. However, air parcel generally present less customs
problems in most countries. General shipping time for air parcel
is 2~3 weeks, NO TRACKING facility is available for air parcel in most
countries. Some countries may have limited tracking capability
AFTER the package arrived the destination country.
Speed post is the carrier that we used most often. They are
cheaper than Federal Express, generally takes a day to 2 more,
trackable and door to door. They are quite generous on size so
the only time you get hit by size sur-charge is most likely shipping
kits. Shipping time in general is 5 days.
Following are some guidelines on shipping charges. They are
for your REFERENCE ONLY and will vary depending on actual destination
and actual package content.
